A talking porcupine! Zooniversity's North American porcupine, "Teddy Bear," gets a cob of corn for a treat -- but, he doesn't like to share. Listen carefully to see what he has to complain about!

Teddy Bear, the optimistically-named North American Porcupine whose day job is educating people with Zooniversity*, takes on a much more serious attitude once he's off the clock.

Teddy Bear was orphaned right after he was born and was found in a barn in West Texas. The nice rancher took care of him for a few days before he was taken to Zooniversity in Dallas. Allison, the owner there, became his Mommy and loved him lots.

*Zooniversity is a traveling wildlife education company that introduces children and adults to the fascinating world of exotic animals. Each year we deliver more than 700 conservation-based programs at schools, day cares, libraries, churches, scouts, community and corporate events and private parties throughout Texas and surrounding

Professional wildlife educators will introduce you to our amazing collection of animal ambassadors—all former unwanted, injured or abused exotic animals, who now have a permanent home with Zooniversity. Our wildlife programs are all carefully crafted to entertain, as well as to educate. And with more than 50 species of exotic animals to choose from, you’re sure to have more than one favorite. Zooniversity is setting the standard in wildlife ed-zoo-cation!

Just check out what happens when he's forced to share his corn on the cob if you don't believe us.

He was just too adorable. I just wish they would rehab him back where he belongs. However, now that he is used to humans it would probably cost him his life to put him back into nature.

He probably was not orphaned. Porky babies only nurse for a few days before they are on their own!
