Four white Arctic wolves rescued from a zoo in Germany have been given a new home in Lincolnshire. (Photos)

The seven-month-old Hudson Bay Wolves are now settling in at Woodside Wildlife and Falconry Park, in Newball, near Langworth.

And the three females and one male will go on display to the public when the park re-opens on February 9.

Owner Neil Mumby said: "They were rescued from Wuppertal Zoo in Germany. The pack were fighting and a new home was urgently needed to save them.

"The wolves are living in a large enclosure in a wildflower meadow with trees, mounds and a pond and they eat raw meat.

"This endangered species originates from Canada and the wolves have a stunningly beautiful white coat to keep out the Arctic winter, so the relatively mild climate of Lincolnshire will be no problem."

And like my Siberian Husky they clearly love digging.

Thank you sooo much for rescuing them! The truth is they are going to need much more room. These are wolves..not domesticated dogs. They are normally to cover 20-50 miles per day. Add much more space & make it like George Fawcett said for them to be happy & healthy.

George Fawcett, I'm sure they are in that pen for assessment and adjustment. I would think they know what they are doing :)

All animals need to be rescued from humans! It's sad to see or think of anyone wanting to hurt these amazing animal and I will never comprehend how or why people do it! What bugs me the most are the bible thumpers who preach about God and Jesus, but don't even read their own book. Where it say we are here to protect all of the other species on the planet. Yet instead most try to destroy them! They are far more advanced in my opinion the animals that is, they don't kill for sport or fun. They so it to survive!

It is so heartwarming to see something good going on for our wild creatures instead of articles about another species being eliminated by the arrogance of man. The Creator made all things that live on Mother Earth and only the Creator is the One who can decide which species should live or die. Thank you for posting this great news and a huge thank you to those who saved these beautiful wolves. Cheifruth

To the Anonymous who wrote the comment third above: White Wolf's intro states "The pack were fighting and a new home was urgently needed to save them." I read this as meaning that the wolves, in Germany, were in-fighting (it happens, as in human groups), that part of the pack needed to be separated from the others. Presumably the zoo in Wuppertal did not have a spare enclosure. If I am right in that intepretation, the wolves now in Lincolnshire were not rescued from humans but from other wolves. The question is: how are they adapating to English food? I am French, I have lived 27 years in England and never got accustomed to English cuisine! The worst of any country I have been to, the USA not being in the running as Americans don't eat food but industrial chemicals. ;)

Hi, This is beautiful. I am looking for someone to help this arctic fox. I don't know who to ask for help. Or how old this story is but I don't find this video funny in the least he should have been brought to a wildlife preserve and not domesticated for personal entertainment. Please let me know if you can help him. To me he seems in distress. Here is the link http://abcn.ws/1Z6GfnQ.

There are plenty of beautiful animals (of course, all are beautiful in their own way), but none more beautiful or charismatic than wolves.
