"We are not drowning. We are fighting." Pacific Islanders

THEIR MESSAGE

"We the Pacific Islanders across 15 Pacific Island nations and territories came together on March 2nd, 2013 in mass numbers on our islands, mobilizing at prominent locations to perform our unique war challenges, songs, and dances. We carried a single message to make our voice heard on climate change, and we want the world to listen.

Our Challenge to the world

"We, the people of the Pacific, spread over hundreds of islands stand united by the Pacific Ocean that connects us. Our Warrior dance and chants are to express ourselves and tell the world that we also exist.

We will continue to fight for our land, our existence, and our identity that is threatened by the impacts of climate change. We will never give up to climate change.

The world needs to hear the voices of our people! It's 100% Possible for us to be heard.

This is our message to the world that we stand in solidarity against the unwelcomed global reality that is climate change. We understand that the climate crisis is claiming our livelihoods but we will be silent no more. No longer will we act as the victims."

Important info for the people of the world. A part of the film is shot in Hawaii-illustrating the poison being dumped on the ocean and land.

it's hilarious how most contemporary white folk look at this and consider these peoples barbarians when it was in fact their uncivilized, inhuman barbaric ancestors who invaded their territories and after receiving every virtue of benevolence, hospitality and reciprocity responded with gunning down the inhabitants, raping the women, throwing the children into the sea, slave-driving the peoples for centuries, stealing their plentiful and natural resources including precious stones to gold to seeds, attempting to utterly annihilate the indigenous cultural freedoms, languages and spiritual practices such as through the partaking of natural herbs, edging to erase the entire posterity of their peoples and the elimination of their descent at large and brainwashing their sons and daughters into believing they needed their help due to their "savagery"... All the while these same colonists resorting to cannibalism upon arrival due to their lack of intelligence, intuition or adaptability concerning nature to say the least. Ya the pacific islanders as well as every colonized black or asian tribal groups to empires that built europe while salvaging it's people from utter barbarism through trade, education and merchandise were and are supposedly the "Savages".
