Bus driver stops bus to rescue lost dog running in heavy traffic (PHOTOS)

In this often cruel world animals are made to suffer at the hands of humans. But it is important to note that are many people who also strive to offer protection and comfort to our fellow animal brothers and sisters. Such was the case recently in Australia.

A bus driver who was driving in heavy traffic saw a dog running loose across a highway. The bus driver stopped the bus to rescue the dog and brought the dog, a husky named Sasha, on board and to safety. A passenger on the bus took a photo of Sasha when she was brought on board the bus and related what happened next.

Luckily, the dog had tags so the girls holding Sasha "called the owners from the bus and another girl tied her scarf to sashas collar as a leash and got off the bus at the local shops to return her to the family."

In all, it took 5 minutes for the dog to be rescued from a scary situation and to be on her way back to her family. It "was a happy ending indeed! As a dog owner I said a personal thank you to the bus driver for doing something so kind. Sasha was beautiful..."

"It was a new bus driver I had never seen and he was so lovely to me as I got on the bus and then helped this animal too...Dog was lucky. Bus driver was fantastic."

Good for him. And for the girls, too. I'm glad they all took the time to do something we all should do.
