Dog Saves Abandoned Newborn Baby (Video)
Thailand is a complex country when it comes to the treatment of the dogs there. On one hand you have people capturing thousands of dogs everyday and smuggling them to Vietnam to be eaten. On the other hand you have animals rescues groups over there who are apprehending the dogs before they are smuggled out of the country and trying to rehabilitate them back to health so that they can be adopted.
One of the dogs from Thailand is pretty amazing also. Over the weekend a dog named Pui found the baby stuffed in a white plastic bag in a garbage dump in Sala Loi in Tha Rua district. After finding the baby, Pui, then carried the baby in the bag to his house and barked loudly to get attention of his owners.
After Pui arrived at home, Twelve-year-old Sudarat Thongmak was first to spot the dog and opened the bag. When she saw the weak little baby inside with the umbilical cord still attached, she ran to get her mom, Pummarat, and her father, Kummerd.
The tiny newborn, who was born 10 weeks premature, weighed only 4lbs 8 ounces. The little fighter was given oxygen and other treatments at the hospital and is now in a stable condition. Mrs. Thongmak has offered to adopt the baby as Sudarat is her only child. The office will not, however, make a decision until the baby's condition improves.
Pui, the dog, has been awarded a leather collar and a certificate from the Red Cross office of the district for his heroic effort. The Miracle of Life Foundation also gave the Thongmak’s 10,000 baht in cash to help feed Pui and the three other dogs at the house.
Dogs are said to have a sixth sense. They can often detect things that humans cannot. Over the years there has been a long list of incredible dogs who have been responsible for saving the lives of special needs children, toddlers in distress and abandoned babies. Pui can now be added to that list. Well done, Pui, well done!

What an incredible thing that dog did by saving the baby's life, what are the chances of that. What an offer on Mrs. Thongmak's part, to adopt the baby. I see no reason why it can't be, after all the baby would have died if not for the dog. Obviously the baby was not wanted and now someone is prepared to love and raise her. All the crazy rules that have to be abided while a struggling little baby could use the love of a "mother" at this time in her life!
When will we learn that dogs are our angels and treat them as such. Thank God for them
