In winter, foxes meet to mate. The vixen (female) typically gives birth to a litter of 2 to 12 pups. At birth, red foxes are actually brown or gray. A new red coat usually grows in by the end of the first month, but some red foxes are golden, reddish-brown, silver, or even black. Both parents care for their young through the summer before they are able to strike out on their own in the fall.

Poor little devil had to be really hungry for this to occur, my respect to the fishermen for feeding it.
better the fishermen to feed it than holler 'OMG, it must have rabies, shoot it!' like 9 out of 10 paranoid Americans would do!
Thank goodness it was just a nice friendly kind fisherman, but the fox shouldn't expect kindness from all humans, because as mentioned above by Selkie Scot it's never good for a wild animal to expect a handout! --- Sad to say most humans are not very kind to wildlife! --- Pretty little fox though! :)

A fed animal is a dead animal. What a shame. So pretty and timid. Definitely use to being fed by humans. I wonder if she is pregnant. She will approach the wrong person, sooner or later or be lured into a foot trap. Death is upon her, probably sooner than later.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth. I hope this beautiful fox never encounters a dangerous human while it’s this hungry.
