Thank you very much for the information. I will now enjoy POW WOW'S even more now that I know some "how to be respectful rules". I wish I knew more about the stories they are telling. Thank You and Keep Going.

Bleh I can't stand the word regalia lol it sounds so silly no one I know ever says regalia. We just say our clothes or 'dance clothes', I mean I get people were trying to discourage 'costume' which is equally goofy oh well. . . Regalia lol.. I'm Wazhazhe, and my friends and I will continue to say dance clothes.. lol

I have always had an interest in Native customs and belief's. Thanks to my wife, who is Native Okanagan, of BC she has taught me a lot about the native ways and belief's, but most important was respect for the customs at Pow Wow's. I have had the honor to attend a couple of Pow Wow's in my senior years and enjoyed the activities and plan to attend many more. The native people want you as an observer to ask questions, but if you do ask questions do it with respect for their customs.

If a person has an eagle feather on his baseball cap, is this a part of his regalia? does it give him the right to wear it in the R.C. Legion?

I usually say outfit but when I'm talking to a spectator I say regalia lol
