A Baby Bear Was About To Drown, chased by mountain lion but fortunately Father Bear was there

This story of a lone bear cub versus mountain lion is a life story for every one! This short film has virtually no dialogue but every minute is fascinating to watch. The cub does everything he can to survive the viscous attack that the mountain lion wants to inflict on him. This is a story that all kids and adults need to watch and understand it’s meaning.

This is actually a scene from the 1988 French film “L’Ours” also known as “The Bear.”

The film is based on an American novel set in the wild mountains of British Columbia circa 1885 and follows a young bear cub who is forced to fend for himself after his mother accidentally dies. Yes, it’s a sad tale but an amazing one at that about the will to survive!

The Bear (known as L'Ours in its original release) is a 1988 French film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. Adapted from the novel The Grizzly King (1916) by American author James Oliver Curwood, the screenplay was written by GĂ©rard Brach. Set in late 19th-century British Columbia, Canada, the film tells the story of an orphaned bear cub who befriends an adult male grizzly as hunters pursue them through the wild.

That was one of the better clips from that movie. IMHO, one of the best wildlife, nature movies since Call of the Wild, Old Yellow, The Yearling, The Incredible Journey (1963), and some of the real old greats. A movie worth watching over and over.
