Domestic cat was seriously scared when he saw the other side of the door predator.

The Bobcat is solitary and nocturnal animal that is most active in the darkness of night, tending to hunt most during dawn and dusk. During the day, Bobcats sleep and rest in dens in the form of a rock crevice or hollow tree with one individual having a number of dens within it's home range.

Bobcats are highly territorial and mark their ranges with scents from their urine and faeces and distinctive claw marks on trees to alert others of their presence. Males patrol a large home range which often overlaps a number of smaller female territories but the two will not interact until the breeding season which begins in the winter.

At other times of the year though, Bobcats tend to avoid one another to reduce the chances of them being injured in a fight.

Bobcats are not considered a threat to human safety except in rare cases when they have rabies or are extremely aggressive. The Arizona Game and Fish Department does not routinely relocate bobcats.

Wow, that is something to see. I didn't know a house cat would react like that. Thank you for sharing this video.

Good house kitty, protecting his own!! I live in the woods & heard my cat squawling one nite, thinking he was into it with another Tom on the porch. Turned out to be a bobcat, had Coi backed into a corner. My cat would have lost. Sprayed that bob thru the screen with wasp spray that shoots 25', right in the face, he ran off. Can't have my kitty.
