Navajo Girl in Antelope Canyon - The art and science of painting with light.

David started his fastination with photography in 1976 while aquiring a BA degree in Graphic Arts and Industrial Technology along with his California Teaching Credential. He taught photography as part of his first full time teaching assignment in northern California. After moving to Bakersfield in 1982 his photography became more of a personal learning experience.

A camera...or five are always on hand during is many travels throughout the amercian west. After much encouragement from family and friends, David began to submit images for publication and competitions. Success came quickly in both areas.

An oppurtunity arose with a connection to the owners of the historic west coast drag racing track in Bakersfield Califorforia, Famoso Raceway. David has been a track photographer at the track since 2003. Hence the start of David's event photography career. Later that year, David was contacted by the Montana State Fair Officals and hired to photograph their nine day event. Soon after David's images began showing up in nationally published magazines and websites.
