These miraculous pictures appear to show two Huskies defying the laws of physics to walk on water.

The biblical-style feat was captured by photographer Fox Grom while he was out walking his dogs Alaska and Blizzard on a frozen lake in northern Russia.

Heavy rainfall masks the ice to create the 'extraordinary phenomenon' whereby the animals appear to be able to pad across the water while keeping warm and dry.

Grom, 40, who also works as an all-terrain vehicle driver, noticed the incredible effect and quickly snapped Alaska and Blizzard doing the seemingly impossible.

'I always take pictures of my dogs whilst walking them but on this occasion there was an extraordinary phenomenon,' he said. 'The ice was already very thick when it rained heavily making for a spectacular scene.'

Gorgeous pictures, but would have loved it if you would have cropped and brought a few of the pictures up closer...i.e. less scenery and more dog! Beautiful scenery...but I really want to see more up close...
