A photographer has posted an adorable video of a koala online. It shows a koala going into a blissful trance when he receives a belly rub

It turns out that koalas may have found something they love more than eucalyptus leaves - tummy rubs.

A Gold Coast photographer has posted an adorable video online, showing a cuddly koala going into total relaxation mode when he receives a belly rub.

In the video, the koala claws on to wildlife photographer Mandie Lee's hand and prompts her to keep going with her massage when she stops, tilting his head back and grinning as she rubs her hand over his belly.

'The world needs to love koalas as much as me... They need to be protected... It would be such a tragedy too loose these amazing animals out in the wild... It wouldn't be AUSTRALIA without them,' Mandie captioned the video.

In the video, Mandie is not afraid to get up close and personal with her favourite animal, as she is seen holding out her hand so the koala can clasp on. Mandie has worked at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast for the past three years. According to the photographer, she is lucky to work around her favourite animals every day
