ENOUGHNESS: Restoring Balance to the Economy (Video)

First Peoples Worldwide, a grant-making advocacy organization, just released a new animated video about sustainable economic success titled "Enoughness: Restoring Balance to the Economy."

"How we see the world determines how we act," explains First Peoples Worldwide. "Western thought sees us at war with each other over resources." In Western tradition, the individual is viewed as fearful, working alone and in competition with others.

But by Indigenous philosophy, humans are all related, part of a kinship-based community and in balance with nature. Watch the "Enoughness" video below about the two contrasting world views and learn more at Share on Facebook and Twitter using #ENOUGHNESS.

Rebecca Adamson—a Cherokee economist, savvy entrepreneur, visionary leader, co-author of The Color of Wealth, activist and founder of First Nations Development Institute—started First Peoples Worldwide in 1997 with her daughter Neva.

First Peoples Worldwide is dedicated to funding local development projects in Indigenous communities across the world, while creating bridges between Native communities and corporations, governments, academics, NGOs and investors in their regions.

The organization facilitates the use of traditional Indigenous knowledge in solving today’s challenges, including climate change, food security, medicine, governance and sustainable development.

They should have this video in k-12 schools around the world and in different languages. Someone probably already thought of that. Very good educational tool and so very true! Thanks for sharing this.
