This video and photos of "Arctic Wolf Pups" will make your heart melt all over your keyboard.

April 27th marked the arrival of baby Arctic Wolves At Wildlife center Vienna. The cubs are now ready to leave the den from time to time for short excursions into the outside world.

“Like in the wild, mother Inja raises her young in a burrow where they cannot be observed.

Up to now, five young animals have been spotted outside the den. Only time will tell if they will all survive.” explains the wildlife center’s director, Dagmar Schratter.

At about two weeks old, the cubs began to open their eyes. Now curiosity is starting to get the better of them. Unlike the adult animals, they still have brown fur.

Schratter: “Arctic Wolves have white fur, which is very conspicuous in the zoo enclosure. In their native environment, the northern regions of North America, Greenland and the Arctic their colour blends in almost totally with the snowy landscape and is the ideal camouflage with which they are almost invisible to their prey.”

They are so well loved and protected. Such precious little souls just beginning their life. May they live long, healthy lives that are full adventure and love and free of hunters, poachers and evil people.

Yes, ty..most excellent share! .. is it just me?..it seemed as if all the chatter and carrying on was making mom a little nervous. Why does the this bother me? Can we not teach our children (and some adults) how important it can/might be to just shut the hell up for a damn minute? Seriously, this bothers me ... how can you pay attention (and learn anything) when you're running your mouth?

  8. Glenn Hodshire says:

Jaws that can snap an elk's bones like tinder, yet can gently lift the cub and carry it back to the den...

Yeah I thought that too too many people at once and far too much noise the baby wolves need quiteness time with their mum and dad ! Yu made me laugh with wot yu said shut the hell up for just a minute ! My thoughts exactly one good thing is at least we know they wont be hunted and killed by those b-----y wolf hater killers !!

I loved watching this, but what bothered me about this video was all the noise of people talking. I hope that the wolves dont have to hear that because if they do they are probably very nervous with their babies all the time! cant people be respectful of animals and quiet down some when they see the young like that? I think it's way too lous for the babies and their surroundings..I hope they are encloused but hearing them so easily and the people make me think otherwise.

I absolutely LOVE the opportunity to take a peek at these adorable and beautiful creatures HOWEVER it bothers me that the people watching / observing in person were SO noisy and disrespectful of the wolves "space"~~there should be rules of "quiet" to observe when visiting these lovely creatures!!

  21. pilvikki says:

    aaawww... furballs...

and yes, people really should learn respect and stfu, especially when there are babies. but of course that'll never happen...

  22. Fili says:

That is just amazing...But I agree, I hope the wolves couldn't hear all the noise. People do need to respect them and be quiet.

  23. Anonymous says:

I hope they have long lives. We all need to help them live by stoppings those who kill them. They are so needed. Another of God's creatures.

  24. Anonymous says:

    awww That is so awesome!!!

First I thought they were in a natural environment from the pics then I heard this incredible noise from people!!!!! could not even hear the pups! where was that? How can they be fine we all these humans making so much noise! I am outraged at that!

I want another one. We lost our wolf in 1996 when he was 13 years old. I think these are the best for pets because they are so loyal. I love them. I hope the government sees how important they are to the ecology. THEY ARE NOT MAN-EATERS AND THEY DON'T ATTACK UNLESS PROVOKED as any animal would.
