Wolf Woman: Amazing story of a wolf rescuer who feeds them mouth to mouth.

Tonya Littlewolf has rescued wolves all her life. At a sanctuary in the empty California desert, she looks after 14 majestic wolves which have been rescued from breeders.

Yet, as she cares for the creatures, even feeding them mouth-to-mouth, Tonya questions whether these wolves would be better off in the wild. Wolf Mountain is a beautiful portrait of Tonya that explores her spiritual connection with the serene and misunderstood animals.

Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is located in Lucerne Valley, California, and is run by the amazing Tonya Littlewolf and her dedicated volunteers. Do visit! It's one of the few wolf sanctuaries in the United States where you can spend time with wolves face to face.

It is a life-altering experience to be in the presence of these beautiful, misunderstood animals and is captured perfectly in this short film.

My husband and I took our daughter there for her birthday a few years ago, we are all wolf lovers. It was so awesome to see the wolves and to hear them howl. Tonya was very nice to us and we got to go in with a few of the wolves and pet them, It was so awesome. We will never forget it. :)

May she be blessed for her efforts to protect these magnificent animals.. when I see the slaughter of the wolves in Idaho and Montana I am simply sick to my stomach over the wanton killing being done to these packs..
I understand her desire .... and I admire her work

I love this video of Tonya @ WMS with the wolves, beautifully done!!! I follow their post on FB, but have not heard too much lately other than there is a great need to move and relocate bcuz some of the wolves have passed away due to illness, suspect the area they are in is very hazardous and toxic. I would love to go there and visit someday, she is a very amazing person for doing this and all I can do for now is send her a donation of what I can give, but she appreciates any amount. I wish I could give her the money she would need to move, but if more people donate to her just for that reason, I'm sure she will get there. I only wish I were a multi-millionaire, I wouldn't hesitate to give her what she needed! May the Great Spirit above continue to watch over her and help her take care of her pack, she will always be their Alpha!!!

It is nice to know that there is someone besides myself that is rescuing wolves from captivity!! I used to do the same before I had my kids, and then I had to give it up temporarily but will start back up in the next 3-5 years... I used to feed mine from my mouth as well, chicken seemed to be their favorite! Our bond wasn't just spiritual but also by faith...Many prayers for you and your pack, that our Creator continues to guide you safely thru your journey, and keeps you and your pack safe, and thank you for being there for the wolves!! I love your story, and the love you are giving to our brother and sister wolves!!
