They say opposites attract - and an amorous tabby cat and horse go a way to prove the theory. The two animals, who live on a farm in Brussels, Belgium, were filmed sharing an intimate moment of affection together.

The friendly feline is seen sat on the wall of a stable enclosure rubbing up against the horse, who peers over the barrier. Both seem happy and relaxed in each other's company. The tabby is heard purring and swirling its tail around, as it gives the horse some loving. At one point it turns around and performs a blissful 'meow' to the camera.

The pet is later grabbed by its owner, equine photographer Alexandra Meulemans, and perches on her shoulder as she brushes another horse in the stable. But the cat seems eager to get back to its favorite pony, and at the end of the video the two pals reunite.


 To date a video of the cat and horse has been watched more than 340,000 times since it was uploaded to YouTube. Many have deemed the clip 'cute' and 'adorable'. 'Beautiful, sweet video! The cat and horse are both precious! Love this!' one commenter said.
