A stunned family captured hilarious footage of a family of bears cooling off in their paddling pool – before playing on the slide, chewing up the floats and absolutely trashing the garden.

The humorous moment was filmed by the family, who watched the chaos unfold from the safety of their home in Rockaway, New Jersey.

The video shows the young bears are quite relaxed at first – they bob around with only their heads above the water and appear to be content. Later in the video the fluffy family become increasingly rowdy and began exploring the garden.

Humorously one of the youngsters watching announces 'there are bears in the pool' before saying 'they took my floatie'. Later in the video the fluffy family become increasingly rowdy and the mother bear sets the example by throwing a float out of the pool.

The young girl later responds by saying 'bad mummy bear'. One of the baby bears then heads off to the swing, another runs over to an inflatable ball and pops it almost instantly and a third pulls a float up the garden.

I think the husband is a sniveling whining wanker! A POOR EXCUSE FOR A MAN, AND SOMEONE WHO HAS NO APPRECIATION FOR NATURE, AND ANIMALS. I mean.- c'mon now, all the mom wanted to do was take her 5 kids to the beach for a dip. I'd love it if I had a pool with a bear family...

    Awesome ❤️

Or maybe he has an appreciation for the money he coughed up for that pool and keeping it damage free so HIS kids can swim in it?

  5. I didn’t know bears could have five cubs in one — what, litter?

What a wonderful opportunity to teach children it is OK to share what we have with creatures . Humans seem to forget that the Good Lord put us here to help others, 4 and 2 legged ! Usually if kids learn that lesson they are much better people. And Sir the pool can be patched ...but your children won't see that again and the memory they will carry with them a life time !

    1) Looking at the garden, I would say that the pool was a large investment, and the mother does not believe that the pool will be replaced this year, so yes, the dad has the right to be a little disappointed with the short life of the pool.

    2) The larger bear is assumed to be the mother bear, but looks very small to be mother to an extraordinarily large litter of five cubs. It might not be the mother, but an older cub from the same family. If she is the mother, poor girl, must be in heaven cooling her sore breasts in that water. The larger bear does seem to appreciate more the shaded area of the pool.

    3) New Jersey? Suburban garden? Wow. Best hope that the larger bear is the largest Brown Bear visiting this summer.

  8. Just a a point, Black Bear cubs can stay with the mom for up to two years, so this could be three litters
