Most people would run when rushed by a herd of elephants, but not this Thai man. When his motorbike angered this herd in Khao Yai National Park, the man was seen apologizing to the elephants!
Visitors to Thailand's Khao Yai National Park will likely be told that the best way to get around and see the area's elephants is via motorbike.
But a video recently surfaced that shows the elephants may not agree. The herd had already become agitated by a group of tourists on motorbikes thundering past, according to the Daily Mail, so when the elephants came across this particular individual, they were on edge.
The man reportedly tried to calm the elephants before retreating into the woods. When the herd passed, he could reclaim his noisy little machine
The national park of Khao Yai shared the video on their Facebook page with a comment: 'Motorbikes have to be prohibited from Khao Yai before something serious happens.'
The park is the third largest in Thailand. It covers an area of 300 sq km (74,000 acres), including evergreen forests and grasslands. There are 3,000 species of plants, 320 species of birds and 66 species of mammals, including Asian elephants.

Yup. These Matriarchs have had enough. Nature is changing & taking action to protect their own. Respect! to our natural world
The Elephants had no trouble designating the cause of their displeasure. I hope the rule makers take it to heart.
For once, a kind, sane man realizing what he has done and apologizing. Were that more humans were this conscious.
If an elephant scares a person, they often hunt them down and kill them
but when a man scares an an elephant they most often just walk away..
Elephants are "people," too. When are human people going to get it through their thick heads that Homo sapiens sapiens aren't the end-all and be-all of animal life on this beleaguered planet? We are not all that wise.
Should use electric scooters instead eh.
I remember watching a program when I was much younger tracking African Elephants, and just seeing them visit and mourn the site where another elephant had passed was just eye opening. Anyone who says animals have no feelings, emotions or cannot comprehend anything make me upset.
