This incredible short film shares an Indigenous Native American Prophecy that links all of life and the future of our planet.

“Thus he learned that there are spirits in the water – that water is life.” – Wichita Legend of the Water Spirit

The pollution of the oceans, and of all water, is a serious threat to our well-being, for water, as indigenous people know well, is the essence of life. Yet civilized society has an almost complete disregard for clean water.

Cholera, a disease unknown in the Americas before European settlement, derives from contaminated water. As the pioneers traveled westward, using rivers, streams and lakes as toilets (while at the same time drinking from them), the now contaminated waters killed countless Indians and nearly wiped out entire tribes, such as the Comanche, Hidatsa and Choctaw.

More than 150,000 Americans are also believed to have died in the pandemics of 1832 and 1849, including former President James Polk. Due to cholera, Chicago had one of the highest death rates in the world between 1885 and 1890, losing more than 12 percent of its population.

A 2006 United Nations Environment report estimated that every square kilometer of world’s ocean has an average of 13,000 pieces of plastic litter floating on the surface.

This is a powerful and beautiful film. It is incomprehensible why the corporations and governments are killing the earth when they live here as well.

Wonderful. Your tone of speaking is perfect. A listener does not feel "preached" to. This is an excellent matter-of-fact teaching film. I wish I could share this more broadly, but I don't know how! Thank you, White Wolf, for making this and for the work you do for Mother Earth's family.

  5. We are One Indeed! I wonder why it is so difficult to really comprehend for many and that we are powerful as One to Keep this Earth a beautiful place. Unfortunately, the disregard and disrespect is so alarming...

Here is another freaking example of waste and nonsense that comes from it, the Cholera Problem in Haiti. And now the same people who brought the problem are talking about spending Billions in International Aids to solve it. However, if history repeats itself as it always does they will patch the problem and create more problems... Hopefully, there will be geniune efforts with an integral vision of health and genuine reports and results...| Haïti - Humanitaire : 2 millions de dollars de l’Europe pour lutter contre le choléra (

Thank you for sharing the WICHITA LEGEND OF THE WATER SPIRIT to help spread a better education and consciousness about water and the well-Being of humanity.

To first nations.... Native Americans... 4 is a prime number... It represents, the elements, the seasons, the stages of life and spiritual.... Thay of all people had a grasp of this, from the beginning..... Thay lived in BALANCE for centuries, and had no need for anything, for thay only took what they needed, and used everything.... Thay lived in balance, with nature, with family, and with the creator, and with themselves.... I just find it hard to to understand why the wisdom that they have, and the history that they suffered.... Is not part of are understanding..... If you feel the same, idil no more first nations fighting for all of us.....

And someday... humans may become extinct. It will be at no loss to the Earth... the Earth may do so much better without us.

  12. Chief Oren Lyons. You speak powerful truths and I hear you. Now is a time for me to heal and strengthen myself and find the most effective ways to confront the power addicts that are killing us all. Thank you for all you do to inspire and remind those of us with ears to hear the dire urgency of our situation. In fact I have always known. But I have felt alone in that realization until recently. So now strategy is key. We have no choice if we want to survive. I am nearing the end of my time here but for our children as well as all life on earth we must confront the sickness that will leave them with a life of unmitigated misery and death. Once again thank you.
